Maasai Map and Information Site

If you want to spend time praying specifically for the Maasai, you can click HERE-The Joshua Project for statistics, general information, and maps to use as guides. If you are able to research the Maasai and begin to understand their culture, it will enable you to engage in prayer on an even deeper level.

Maps are great ways to pray for different regions around the world. We are hoping to get a more specific map, so you can pray for specific tribes and villages.

Also, you can listen to the strategic plan for the exodus conference here. The audio/visual presentation helps you see how you can specifically pray.

Exodus Week 24/7 Prayer Sign Ups

Things to be Praying for in Preparation

If you are going into your time of prayer and fasting and are wondering what you need to be praying for, here is a list of a few things you can focus on that came from Caleb himself.

1. The unrest in Kenya. The political battle has become a tribal one. Over 1,000 people have died and over 250,000 people have been displaced from their homes.

2. The refugees in Simon’s village. Numerous refugees are currently in Simon's village. Simon is trying to provide them with food and places to sleep. Many of the refugees have lost their fathers, mothers, and children. Simon and the other ministries are overwhelmed and need wisdom in dealing with these people. The "other" tribe has already tried to attack the refugees in Simon's village, but they backed down when the Maasai stepped up.

3. The thirty groups being sent out. Their goal is to launch a disciple making movements among the Maasai. They will need wisdom and perseverance for the task before them.

4. Break strong holds in unreached villages. Many of the villages we are going to practice witchcraft and worship a false God as well as their dead ancestors. These are barriers that may require fasting and prayer for us to break through

5. That many people will come to know Christ, and that many disciples will be made. It is my desire that every Maasai village in Kenya will have had the chance to hear about Christ in the next couple years.

PRAY NOW!

Kenya is in chaos!

As Caleb writes on his blog...

# 250,000 have been displaced
# almost a 1,000 have died
# a political leader promoting a peace walk was killed yesterday
# rebels have set up roadblocks at the country's border
# Churches and homes have been locked and set to fire with people inside
# Simon's village has had a number of refugees flee to it
# The town closest to Simon's village had problems with rebels the past couple days
# This is the worst uproar Kenya has had since they declared their independence in the 60's
# Great Britain has discouraged people from flying to Africa
# It appears that the violence is going to continue unless they take a re-vote for their president. The candidate that lost the recent election said that it was rigged. The "elected" president says that he will not allow a re-vote and will promote peace in other ways. Both candidates were from different tribes (Kikuyu/Luo) therefore causing the uprising.

I am not sure what we have gotten ourselves into with the Maasai Project. Numerous people have fled to Simon's village to seek refuge, however a town just ten miles away just got hit by rebels. All of this was unexpected. Currently a group of us will still be flying to Kenya in April. Most of us are still sensing a call to go, but we are not exactly sure what we are in for.

Pray for Kenya. Pray for the Maasai. Pray for th Luo. Pray for the Kikuyu.
